College Basketball Odds
When betting on college basketball it is very important to know the odds and often more importantly the spread. In many college basketball games there will be a clear cut favourite so betting the spread is the best way to get a decent return while betting on the favourite and is often the only way you can justify betting on the underdog.

Here is some more information about how to read and understand the college basketball odds at either of those sportsbooks:
Spread
As mentioned earlier the spread is often the best way to bet on college basketball games. The spread is basically a handicap given to the underdog in the game. For a wager on the favourites to win they must cover the spread by winning by more than the spread amount. Similarly, for a wager on the underdogs to win they must not allow the favoured team to cover the spread. This means they must either win, or lose by less than the spread amount. Here is an example:
Bradley +4
Creighton -4
This means that Illinois State must win by more than 4 points for an Illinois State spread wager to payout. If Illinois State wins by exactly 4 points the bets are pushed, which means there is no winner. If Illinois State loses or wins by fewer than 4 points than wagers on Indiana State payout.
Moneyline
A moneyline bet is a straight up bet as to who is going to win the game. Instead of there being a spread to even the playing field, the payouts vary depending on which team you wager on. The favourite will payout less, while the underdog will payout more. Continuing with our example above here are the moneyline odds for the same game:
Bradley +150
Creighton -170
A $100 bet on Bradley would win $150 for a total payout of $250, while a $100 bet on Creighton would win $58.82 for a total payout of $158.82. As you can see a bet on Bradley will payout more because they aren’t supposed to win the game.
Over/Under
An over/under bet on a college basketball game completely removes the teams from the equation. Instead you are betting on how many total points will be scored. An amount will be given and you will wager on if you think more or less points will be scored than that given amount. For example the over/under in the Bradley vs Creighton game is 137. If you think more than 137 points will be score you should bet the over, while if you think less than 137 points will be score you should bet the under.
